TRAI is looking to make more amendments on DTH and Cable TV to the new regulations, it has taken another step in ensuring better services for customers by implementing a KYC system for all customers.
All DTH operators are now required to undertake a KYC process for their existing as well as new subscribers. The decision has been taken after consultation with all DTH operators and other stakeholders in the industry. 3. For existing customers, DTH operators will need to undertake the KYC verification process by linking the Set-Top Boxes with a mobile number within a span of two years.
